      On June 24th the 3rd Annual Climb for Courage stair climb race and family festival at the U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium, benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado. Together, we are raising money to expand Children’s Colorado’s programs and services by building the region’s only comprehensive children’s hospital, bringing world class care close to home for over 225,000 kids in the southern Colorado. The hospital is set to open in 2018 in northeast Colorado Springs.

      STAIR CLIMB RACE

      Participants compete in a timed stair climb race, starting in waves at 8:30 a.m., covering 2,700 stairs (2.7 kilometers) around Falcon Stadium. Race categories include Elite, Open and Teams. Awards will be given for top male/female overall, top youth (under 18) male/female, age group and top team. The event also includes a shorter untimed Fun Wave around the lower portion of Falcon Stadium, perfect for kids and families (no awards will be given). The Fun Wave, which starts after the timed race, takes between 15-30 minutes depending on age and skill level.

      Entry fee: $35 (adult), $20 (youth 18 and under)
      Fundraising minimum: $50 (adult), $25 (youth 18 and under)
      Race start:
      8:30 a.m. (Race day packet pick-up 7 – 8:30 a.m.)
      Fun Wave start: approximately 9:30 a.m.

      FAMILY FESTIVAL

      From 9 a.m. – noon, a free family-friendly festival provided by corporate and community partners will be held on the grounds surrounding Falcon Stadium and will include games, activities, food and fun.
